Cathie obtained a Certificate in Fine Arts (Fundamentals) from Sheridan College in 2000, and since then has attended various workshops including the Blue Mountain School of Landscape Painting, the Southampton School of the Arts, and Visual Arts Mississauga. She enjoys painting beautiful towns, valleys, farms and vistas of the Ontario landscape. Recently she began painting in oils, and introduced street scenes with figures that exude a contemporary feeling.
Regardless of the medium she uses, Cathie’s goal is to engage the viewer to enter her paintings and have their own personal experience. Her works have been exhibited at the opening of the Living Arts Centre in Mississauga in 1998; various shows with the Springbank Artists Group; at Artfully Yours at the Novotel; and the Gallery Streetsville.
